Opposition leader in the Australian Federal Parliament Bill Shorten calls for further enhancing ties between Sri Lanka and Australia. Mr.Shorten was speaking at a function held to mark 70 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The event was held today at Canberra.
Speaking on the occasion, visiting Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe praised the Australian government for organizing the event on a Valentine’s Day, since the two countries maintain a cordial relationship with affection and close friendship.
