Sri Lanka won the Match against West Indies by one run. The match ended in a nail biting finish. West Indies once again showed its weakness on the middle order collapse. Sri Lanka batted first and made 330 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. West Indies in reply made 329 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. With this win Sri Lanka reached the finals without any trouble.

Australia suffers 5th consecutive Test defeat this year

South Africa beat Australia by an innings and 80 runs to claim its third successive Test series Down Under today, bowling the home side out for just 161 before lunch on the fourth day. The South African pace duo of Kyle Abbott who took 6 wickets for 77 runs and Kagiso Rabada who bagged 4 wickets for 34 runs did all the damage, with the last eight Australian wickets falling for 32 runs.

This win followed a 177-run victory against Steven Smith's team in the first Perth Test, with South Africa emulating the West Indies teams of the 1980-1990s with three straight series wins in Australia. Kyle Abbot who took 9 wickets for 118 runs in the match was named as the man of the match.

Sri Lanka records 8 wicket victory against Zimbabwe.


Sri Lanka won the OID against Zimbabwe in tri series played in Harare today by 8 wickets. Batted first Zimbabwe scored 154. Sri Lanka passed the victory target in 24.3 overs for the loss of two wickets. Dhananjaya de Silva 78 not out.

Sri Lanka's Chamil Cooray and Nishantha Fernando have won the men's group event of the 2016 World Carrom Championship. It is being held at Badshah Palace in Birmingham UK. A total of 23 countries are taking part in the event.

Zimbabwe's fight ends in 225-run SL win


Sri Lanka ended Zimbabwe’s day-long resistance seven overs from the end of play to grab victory by 225 runs on the final day of the first test at the Harare Sports Club on yesterday. Zimbabwe were bowled for 186 runs in their second innings within sight of what would have been a morale boosting draw.
