Blood instead of urine for banned substance tests

The National Anti Doping Agency has decided to take blood samples instead of urine for banned substance test from beginning of next year. NADA’s President Professor Arjuna de Silva said that the banned substance test was done by taking players’ urine samples, but World Anti Doping Agency has decided to do it by taking blood samples in the future. According to the new system, the players will not have a chance of taking part if they are found guilty of using banned substances as a result of the blood tests will be available immediately, he said.
