Andy Murray due to return to action at the Citi Open in Washington on 30th July

Andy Murray is now the British Men's Number 23, after he dropped to 839 in the world rankings, following his injury problems.
The former World Number One, fell 690 places in Monday's rankings, after he pulled out of Wimbledon.
He had hip surgery in January, after being out of action since last year's Wimbledon. He has only played three matches since then, winning one at Eastbourne last month.
Murray is due to return to action at the Citi Open, which starts in Washington on 30th July.

Russia moved to the brink of qualifying for the last 16 of the World Cup after the host nation beat Mohamed Salah's Egypt in St Petersburg. Russia, who beat Saudi Arabia 5-0 in their opening game, took the lead thanks to a bizarre 47th-minute own goal from Ahmed Fathi, who diverted Roman Zobnin's shot into his own net. Denis Cheryshev doubled Russia's advantage after he finished from Mario Fernandes' pull-back, before Artem Dzyuba sealed the victory with a fine individual goal.

North and South Korea have agreed to form some combined teams at the Asian Games in Indonesia this August.
The two countries also agreed they would march together at the event, as a sign of unity.
The decisions were taken after talks between them at their shared border.

South Korea hosted the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, where their athletes entered under the same flag as their neighbours from North Korea, during the opening ceremony.

The stay order preventing the election of office bearers to Sri Lanka Cricket, removed

The stay order imposed by the Court of Appeals temporary suspending the Election of Office Bearers to Sri Lanka Cricket, has been removed. The Court had issued the order, upon taking up for examination, the petition filed by a former cricketer and Nishantha Ranathunge who is contesting for the presidency, seeking the prevention of the present President: Thilanga Sumathipala running for office. As the petitioner and respondent's party agreed to call for a new election, the court ordered the stay order to be removed. The Court of Appeals notified the Attorney General to present the agenda for a new election, when the petition is taken up for hearing on the fourth of next month.

The 2nd test between Sri Lanka and West Indies will start today

The 2nd test between Sri Lanka and West Indies will start today at Gros Islet. The match will commence at 7.30 PM Sri Lankan time. Sri Lanka lost the first test by 226 runs and expected to put up a better performance this time. Meanwhile former captain Anjelo Mathews has returned to the island to see the new born baby. This could be another setback to the Sri Lanka's batting outfit. However Danushka and Dasun Shanaka will be travelling to west indies as replacements for Anjelo and injured Lahiru gamage.
