Australia has picked four fast bowlers

Australia has picked four fast bowlers -- Mitchell Starc, James Pattinson, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins -- in its 15-man Champions Trophy squad while dropping allrounder James Faulkner, the man-of-the match from its triumph in the 2015 World Cup final against New Zealand.

It will also be a demonstration sport at the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang, Indonesia. Video gaming will be featured as a full sport at the 2022 Asian Games, with competitors in electronic sports set to receive medals for their digital prowess.

The Second T-20-20 cricket match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at 7.00 pm today

The Second T-20-20 cricket match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played this evening at the R Premadasa international play ground in Colombo. The match will commence at 7.00 pm today.

Lasith Malinga has been included to the Sri Lanka's cricket reserve. Kushal Janith Perera's participation will be determined according to the physical fitness. Five 20/20 matches have been played between the two nations up to now and four of the matches won by Sri Lanka. 

The 2nd test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh commence Today at P. Sara Stadium in Colombo.

Hours after Bangladesh team manager Khaled Mahmud confirmed that all-rounder Mahmudullah would not be a part of the playing XI for the Colombo Test and would fly home on the eve of the match, BCB president Nazmul Hassan claimed the player's return would be a personal decision and not one taken by the team management. The Test, which begins Today in Colombo,

will be Bangladesh's 100th and Mahmud had said that given the match would be an emotional, landmark occasion, it was decided not to keep a high-profile, senior player sitting on the bench. Hassan said the decision to either stay in Colombo or return to Dhaka was up to Mahmudullah. The second test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh  commence today at P. Sara stadium in Colombo. 

Sri Lanka on the 7th place in the Test rankings

Sri Lanka remains on the 7th place in the Test rankings based on the ICC ratings released on 9th March 2017.
Also Sri Lanka stands on the 6th place in ODI rankings while it stays in the 8th place in T20 rankings. It is expected that Sri Lanka will improve in its rankings after the conclusion of the ongoing series against Bangladesh.

Today was the 3rd day first test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

Bangladesh were bowled out for 312 runs in their first innings.  Today was the 3rd day of the first test being played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Galle international stadium. Earlier Sri lanka made 494 in their first innings.

India faces England in the ICC Women's World Cup opener next June.

Former champions India will face hosts England at Derby, while New Zealand meets qualifier Sri Lanka in Bristol on the opening day of the ICC Women’s World Cup. In a release, International Cricket Council said that the tournament gets underway on June 24. It will see 28 matches being held over 21 days. A round-robin between the world’s eight best teams will conclude with the semifinals at Bristol and Derby before the final at Lord’s on July 23rd.

Sri Lanka “A” plays against England “A” in the first ODI at Dambulla today.

The first One Day International match between Sri Lanka “A” and England “A” will be played at Rangiri Dambulla international Cricket Stadium today. Ashan Priyanjan will captain the Sri Lankan “A” team. The 2nd ODI will be played on Saturday at Kurunegala.

President declare opens Digana track and field stadium today.

President Maithripala Sirisena today declared open the Digana track and field stadium which has been built as the largest and fully fledged ground of the Central Province. The stadium consists a track, a swimming pool, a pavilion, an indoor training facility, a volleyball court, a netball court and a gymnasium.
