Minister S.B.Dissanayake says, the government has a majority of more than 120 members in parliament

Minister S.B. Dissanayake was appointed as the chief government whip of the parliament, assumed duties at his office in parliament this morning. Speaking to media, he said that the government has a majority of more than 120 members.

He said that the country could not be built during the last three and a half years as wished by the President. The economy was collapsed and insecurity prevailed in the country. The national assets were sold to the foreigners. Therefore, the minister said the new government came into power.

He pointed out the country was able to move forward while taking action against terrorism and facing global economic crisis during the rule of Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse. Replying to a journalist, minister S.B,. Dissanayake said that the new government would move forward under a new front.
