Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe says the government has no intension to block social media websites. However, they should be utilized positively as they can have considerable influence to economic, education and many other sectors. During the recent past some extremist elements used social media to spread sentiments and violence. Therefore, a system should be arranged to prevent such misuses of social media in future. He further said that the violence in Kandy has caused a negative impact on tourism industry.
