Puravesi Balaya Organization points out the need for the government to accept its shortcomings and correct them in the next two years. Co-convener of the organization Gamini Viyangoda says that the government has failed to fulfill its pledges given to the public. Therefore, it should work for bring a new constitution by abolishing the executive presidency. It should take immediate action to bring the persons who are responsible for massive corruption and frauds to book. At a press briefing held in Colombo yesterday he said the results of the recent election is a warning given by the general public against protecting the fraudsters.

Co-convener of the Puravesi Balaya organization Saman Rathnapriya said the election results do not force the president to resign or the parliament to be dissolved. Editor of Ravaya Newspaper K.W Janaranjana said the present government has done a great service to establish democracy, law and order. He praised the cooperative rule carried out by the President and the Prime Minister.
