Parliamentarian Bimbal Rathnayake points out the need to prepare a constitution that will fulfill the aspirations of all segments of the country.

Parliamentarian Bimal Rathnayake says all the problems of Sinhala and Tamil and Muslim people who were affected by the war should solved without delay. Joining the committee stage discussion today he said the uncontroversial lands which are under the army at present should be returned to their original owners. He pointed out about 5,800 acres of land belongs to the people in the north and east are still under the control of the armed forces. If the lands are important for security purposes, alternative lands will be provided to the owners. He also stressed that a constitution that will fulfill the aspiration of all the communities should be prepared by all relevant parties.
