The United National Party says some political forces rejected by the people are attempting to re-gain power utilizing racism.


The United National Party has expressed their sympathy over the attempts made by some saboteurs to disrupt national reconciliation in the country. Issuing a communique by the Chairman of the Party Malik Samarawickrema said that the government is dedicating to safeguard the country's unitary status and national reconciliation under the leadership of the President and the Prime Minister. From the beginning, the United National Party has been dedicated for the identity of the real Sri Lankans and free from religious and racial differences.
The President, Prime Minister and the Cabinet have taken stern decisions to prevent the people who engaged in activities which creating hatred among nations and to disrupt the religious reconciliation. The United national Party has received the mandatory at the 2015 Presidential Election as well as the General Election to build national reconciliations in the country.
