The teacher consultants of Colombo and Kalutara districts are being educated on Right to Information Act.

The teacher consultants of Colombo and Kalutara districts are being educated on Right to INformation Act. Accordingly a special workshop was conducted today in the morning at the government information department. Minister Gayantha Karunathilleka participating in the inaugural ceremony stated that the country received a special accord for introducing the RTI act to the common masses.

Sri Lanka also received an international recognition in this regard. The RTI implementation helps the common masses to access important information about the government institutions.   This will also help the country to achieve the sustainable development. Many officers of government organisation have been educated on this act by now. Senior consultant to the ministry of mass media Piyatissa Ranawaka said, two cases have been field with regard to RTI as of this date.
