President Maithripala Sirisena promises to carry out much needed development works of the country regardless of any criticism. Inaugurating the new building of the Bakamuna agrarian services center, the president said that the government has a clear plan to uplift the agriculture of the country.
Large scale Moragahakanda project has been initiated in order to solve problems of the farmers, fulfilling election pledges made two years ago. In future, a special agrarian welfare scheme will be started to face climate changes, the president added.
In the event, the President awarded scholarships to the children of low income families and granted loans to farmers under organic fertilizer scheme.
