Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathna decides to clarify and resolve the problems in registration of Ayurvedic doctors.

Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathna decides to clarify and resolve the problems in registration of Ayurvedic doctors. This decision is taken when he held a discussion with the United Local Physicians Association. The policy so far was paying 1500 rupees in five years and getting the registration under the Ayurvedic Medical Council.

The Minister has found that there are Ayurvedic doctors who are unable at least to pay this amount. Due to this reason the Minister has decided to provide them with number of concessions. If the Ayurvedic doctor is more than 70 years old no fee is levied to register him. If a grama niladhari or divisional secretary recommends, such an doctor will also be relieved of paying such a fee, the Health Minister has decided.
